Job Summary

Skidmore College seeks applicants for the position of Social Media Coordinator, a member of the Marketing and Engagement Team in the Office of Communications and Marketing. The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing Skidmore’s social media strategy and creating related content, including graphics, video, news stories and features. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Engagement, the Coordinator must have a keen sense of storytelling, superior judgment and communications skills, and exhibit a collaborative spirit and desire to stay current with changing social tools and platforms. The Coordinator will work with faculty, staff, students and administrators across the college to inform and engage prospective students, parents, alumni, donors and the general public.

Minimum Qualifications

BA/BS in communications or related field of study or equivalent with 3-5 years’ experience in digital marketing, social media, in a Nonprofit; higher education; advancement; admissions, marketing. Type: Communications, advancement, admissions, nonprofit.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong marketing, writing, photography, video and social media skills with 3-5 years in digital marketing and social media management in a higher education or nonprofit environment.
