Job Summary

Skidmore College invites applications from qualified registered professional nurses for the position of per diem staff nurse in the Student Health Services. Responsibilities include, among others, the physical and emotional assessment and triage of Skidmore College students and provision of support and assistance for campus mid-level health care providers and physicians. The college health nurse works collaboratively with Health Services’ clinical and support staff, students and their families, various campus departments and community resources in the development and provision of comprehensive health care and health related educational services.

Minimum Qualifications

Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
A minimum of two years of clinical practice experience as a registered nurse in an ambulatory care, outpatient/community health care and /or Medical/Surgical setting. College health experience and Certification in College Health Nursing highly desirable. Well-developed interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication abilities.
